Wedsport Supra
These WedSport SA-70s are looking mighty fresh on this Supra.
And just for kicks… look at this ugly Supra. Low does not always equate to dope.
It’s a Bobber Thing
In recent times, one of the more popular trends is the Honda Ruckus 49cc scooter. The aftermarket department for these things are huge, and I admire the amount of creativity that arise from people modding these up.
While Ruckuses are surely interesting, Bobbers are much more my style and reign in the individuality department. Not to mention, having 500cc+ instead is definitely a plus. What is a Bobber? They are one of the earliest form of “Custom” motorcycles and hearken to a minimalistic approach. They share a few qualities with choppers, such as removing the front fenders and halving the rears; however, the front suspension is not crazy lengthened like on choppers. Bikes can range from the usual Harley arrangements to 80’s Hondas. Builders strip the bike down to the bare frame and toss out the non-essentials, then start rebuilding. This is where the creativity part of the scheme comes in and really shines.
The following Bobber is one of my personal favorites… a Yamaha XT500. I’m in love.
Built to be Driven
The owner of this Lotus Exige is definitely one with a purpose-built mentality. Exiges come stock very race-oriented, but apparently that still wasn’t enough for this guy. He redid the car with a custom widebody and an engine build with a compound charger (both turbo and superchargers). The result is 550whp worth of blistering precision.
Here’s a video of one of the “runs”
One for the Road
Pic of the Day: A rather gorgeous E36 M3 with what looks like some widened rear fender arches.
Imprezza Love
The owner of this guy did a great job with it, especially with the nice beefy wheels that come out to the fender flares. Repainted, gutted interior along with a full roll-cage shows that this car means business. Cleanly executed, and looks fun to mob around in.
Clean Bagged Pickup
Check out this Datsun/Nissan from from the land of sushi and shabu. Very clean, very low, and very stretched.
Return from the Grave
Given how my time had been consumed by seemingly insurmountable quantities of school work and other priorities, I must shamefully admit having slacked off on this website. Thus, GRANDMIGHTY fell into an undulating position of inactivity. The nonexistence of November 2009 in the Archives and the large gap in the following month of December will serve as a stark reminder to the consequence of such a hiatus.
On the flip side, I have finally had a chance to regain focus on this website. In conjunction with the New Year, I’ve been busy redesigning a new layout. To be honest, I was never completely satisfied with the previous version of the site, so I spent a lot more time and effort to produce something worthwhile this time around. With the design aspect of the website taken care of, the next in line of reforms concentrates on the content portion. The plan is to keep up the posting consistency, hopefully new faces and editors will be on board in the near future. On the navigation menu, there are links to Exclusives / Features and a Store section. Those are still being worked on and figured out, but should be ready relatively soon.
Other than that, I hope you enjoy the new look and Happy Holidays! We’re planning on heading into 2010 with big agendas
