Confirmation Retreat 2010 – Glory Be

so this year’s confirmation retreat took place this weekend. briefly wrapped in a nutshell, the confirmation retreat is a retreat that takes place in the mountains (away from the everyday life) so the confirmation students can fulfill their spiritual journey with God and have their faith grow stronger being devoted Catholics.

anywho, took some pics of this weekend.took place in Idyllwild, CA, in the San Jacinto Mountains.

^ definitely worth the waste of blue tape. LOL

^ “Advance-Team” – the team that goes in the morning to help set up.

^ finally got the the snow line. in front was the A-Team van. Alex was the driver, and Joe was passenger.

^ random pic i took of myself (lots of snow behind me).

^ accidentally left the stuff in the back of the truck at night and took em in before i slept. basically got frozen over. =P yes, i slept with a cold sleeping back and cold pillow. =T

^ if i knew the snow was clean, i’d prolly would’ve made a snow cone. =P

^ saturday was kinda warm so i decided to rock the shorts for a bit… well, until ron disapproved of what i was wearing… boots + basketball shorts. lol

^ lunch on saturday: teriyaki taco, fried rice (they used the leftover eggs from breakfast LOL), rice krispy, and salad.

^ Tree Top really ripped us off. come on, is the economy really that bad? =P 3 gummies?!

in the end, everything worked out fine. i’ll probably update this again later down the road when i see more pics posted up on facebook.

Fondue Fountain Test

after choir practice, we headed to james’ house to test out the fondue fountain for the choir outing this coming tuesday. so james, heather, danica, errold, and i put it to the test. xD we decided to stuff out mouths with a gigantic marshmallow and see who’s down enough to eat it as a whole.

everybody had their moments in making their attempt to eat it. i myself, on the other hand, actually when the whole 9 yards. snot even kinda shot out my nose cuz i couldn’t even laugh with the marshmallow blocking my mouth. LOL

to end the night @ james’ house, we busted out his N64 and played Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart, and Starfox 64.

Salmingo Wedding w/ SPYMC

forgot to mention that this past Saturday, i drummed for my choir’s pianest’s teacher’s wedding. here we are…

this is my beloved St. Philomena Youth Ministry Choir (SPYMC). i’ve been drumming for them for quite awhile and am actually the only remaining original member when it first started. although members come and go over the years, these kids are really dedicated putting their time to use their voices and share it to sing and praise with God’s people. as far as the direction of the choir goes, Heather, Glenn, and James are currently doing it, and doing a wonderful job putting the choir back on its feet after stumbling couple of times. i can’t thank them enough. =] truly wonderful people. as for me, i’m the only orignal member since the choir was established… i think i was in 7th grade. and now i’m in 3rd year college. =P with some brief calculations… 8 years?! oh wow.

anywho, this is my choir and i plan to keep sharing my gifts God blessed me with with His people as well. =]
