we entered and found out it was the California Food Wine Festival so we thought it’d be cool to hit up an event place that had that. i was hoping to find free wine tasting since i’m already 21 but we found something better! as we continued to walk into the park, we saw this tent with a bunch of tables set up in a horizontal direction. we walked closer… and saw a kitchen. i thought wtf, this is too good to be true… it was like one of those cooking shows you’d see in the Food Network! we walked up even closer and realized it was a food demo!! first thing i thought about while falling in line to attend was YES! free food! definitely a sweet way to start the morning with some free food. LOL

after falling in line and getting our free tickets for admission, we sat ourselves in our seats.

hell yea, a place mat, a fork (off the picture), a napkin, and free water. this has to be good.

alas, the show starts and we find out that Chef Jill Dave,

is the one that’s leading the demo.

for this demo, Chef Jill was gonna demonstrate how to cook some chicken and make some BBQ sauce, incorporating certain berries into the recipe. of course, with live cooking magic (other than the fact that we’re in Disneyland… xP), the workers serve us the long awaited food, the whole purpose of attending this demo. like i was gonna learn how to cook something anyway… PSH yea, right! jk

well, i thought it was kinda bobo how they made so i thought i’d take a comparison picture of what was originally supposed to be made.

haha! talk about fail! it’s ok. no way would they be able to feed a tent full of people with the food served up like that professionally. unfortunately, Disney’s magic can’t go that far. i guess we can wish upon on star for next time. =P

i was done eating so i wanted to keep myself occupied… LOL

anyway, after that demo, we hit up Screamin’ California. pretty fun.

was nervous like usual before hopping on but it was nothing. Six Flags tops every damn rollercoaster off. LOL first time sitting in the front too.

after Screamin’ California, we went to Toy Story to whoop Heather’s ass! HAHA! mission: accomplished. unfortunately, took no more pics and Heather’s phone didn’t save the pic of the scores. =[ oh well, whooped her ass by 20,000 points. mwhahaha!

last event of the day was at Ate Jen's Aladdin musical. was awesome like last time, and will always be. =] during the performance, somebody from the stage techs failed because the fog machine didn’t go off. sucked because the mechanical parts of the flying carpet was exposed. welcome to the future i guess? LOL iono. took advantage of that though since the theater was air conditioned. *whew*

ended the Disneyland trip by going back to the car with Heather while we slap boxed each other, even dodging each others’ hits, trying to hit each other when we would see an out-of-state car. =P goooooooood times.

while our stay there, Lainard and I introduced to ourselves to Key, the home dude who was manning the shop. spoke to him a bit about the store and found out that they’ve only been opened for 7 months! that’s pretty good considering the fact that they have so many accounts with skate companies they’re selling for. =]

well, at my little visit over at the Gardena location, my eyes caught the sight of a new line of Adidas that recently got released… or at least i think so… and saw Adidas Campus Vulc’s, i guess the new line of skateboard shoes for Adidas based on the Campus line.

i currently own 2 pairs of Adidas Campus ST’s at this moment.

as you can tell, i’m pretty fond of the Campus line of Adidas shoes.

after a bit more researching on google images of the Campus Vulc’s, i found out they got some high tops too!

i pretty much got my eyes glued on that new line. yes, my taste in shoes are pretty bland, but i think these shoes are pretty damn hot. =P mad fresh, yo. i’ll prolly scoop up a pair for myself one of these days. damn it Adidas, you did it again!! >__<

^ stopped by Jack in the Box for some quick lunch. was my first time dining in a fast-food restaurant populated majority of Caucasian folk (Camarillo mainly consists of white population). here we have a TV showing us a documentation about Nazis and what not. i wonder who chose this channel to watch? hmmm… lol

^ $1 chicken sandwich + half a taco inside. McDonald’s McGangBang, eat your heart out… literally. LOL

^ back in Carson, dropped Heather off to James’ house for the SPYMC meeting. definitely a beautiful sight when the skies clear.

so there it is. epic hot dogs along La Brea in Hollywood. for those who are outside of the LA area, i suggest that you try this place out before leaving the LA area. it’s a must-do thing when down here.

here’s a pic of my old house that i decided to take a pic of. went to stop by to show heather where i grew up and what not. i wish the old tennants that were renting it out kept it clean the way we did. anyway, we’re basically restoring it back to how it used to be. the whole place was trashed. =T oh well, gotta move on…

overall, it’s an awesome family run mexican restaurant. shoot, they even offer Orange Bang and Horchata! well, last time we went there, i asked for Orange Bang and got Orange Soda instead… fail. anywho, prices are your usual dine-in food prices but the quality is definitely there. i can see myself taking my family or friends out here. even maybe hit up the bar with some friends since i’ll be 21 this month. =P heck, might as well throw a luncheon car meet with the RX-7 guys or something.

if you’re lookin’ for authentic mexican food, this is the place for ya. definitely quality mexican food. i’d surely come more often if they start making fish burritos like Albertas though. haha
